My Daddy is an Ironman!

Dad has been working super hard all (miserably hot) summer long to prepare for the IronMan 70.3! This weekend, Nana, Papa, Mom and I headed over to Augusta to cheer for him! Our family, heading into the Team In Training Inspiration dinner the night before the big race.

Papa and I exploring Augusta's Riverwalk the night before the big event.

It's race day! I hope Dad will be able to see me in the crowd!

On the Fifth Street bridge, watching for Daddy in the Savannah River. Yikes!

Mom and I made awesome T-shirts to show our support.

Dad, are you down there? Well, we know he is wearing a royal (Kentucky) blue cap!

We had to hot-foot-it, but we made it just in time to see Dad come out of the water and take off on his bike. We were all so relieved he was done with the swim!

Yes, he is.

Purple fountains in Augusta in honor of the event!

Relaxing and waiting to see Daddy on his run.

Here he comes!

Looking good, Dad.

It was a crazy weather day in Augusta. Rain, clouds, mist, and sun. My hat and sunglasses definitely came in handy.

He finished! What an accomplishment! I am so proud of you, Daddio!

A Visit to the Zoo and More!

Mom and Dad and I have been keeping busy on the weekends with home improvement, outings and dance class. Plus, with Halloween just a month away, I am already talking about "trick or treat!" I have picked out my costume ...have you? Dad and Papa finished our basement together last winter. One of the few remaining details was a handrail. I reminded them of its absence often, so I got to be its official tester and inaugural user.

Dad, Mom and I had a fabulous visit to the zoo last weekend. The weather was amazing, and I got to see my old friends the flamingoes!

One of the kangaroos had a joey in its pouch. That was Mom's favorite part of our visit.

Po, the new baby panda, was so sleepy!

Recreating my first zoo visit with a ride on this guy!

Dad and I looked great as meerkats.

Fall means the start of ballet class again! Here I am showing off my best "dancer pose."

I am very, very excited to show you all my Halloween costume this year. It is awesome. But no spoilers yet...thanks to Nana and Papa for my new PJs. I love them!

Gearing up for Fall!

Mom, Dad and I are so grateful for cooler weather! The end of summer means it's time to clear out the garden for some fall veggies. I have all the necessary attire for pulling out the massive marigolds Mom and I grew from teeny tiny seeds: garden gloves and a sparkly necklace, of course!

Mom had me hauling these massive things across the yard to the compost pile. I am tough.

Mom and I sporting our long sleeves...and matching gold shoes for sushi night!

Ballerina toes!

So far this football season, two big wins for the Big Blue! Keep 'em coming Cats!

A (Very) Hot and Busy Summer

I have been so busy this summer that I have completely neglected my blog. Sorry, folks. To make up for my delinquency, I have added a ton of photos this post. We have had a lot of visitors and a lot of parties. Check out my adventures! Atlanta heated up to the 90s beginning in May this year, and it didn't let up until September. Here I am starting the summer off right with some sprinkler time!

Summer wouldn't be complete without a trip to the Lake with the Holbrooks and Stines.

Ready to head out on the boat!

My favorites spot on the lake: the swimming deck. Cooling off with Mom.

Mom and I planted a huge garden this spring. In mid-summer we had a bounty of carrots, cucumbers, and tomatoes.

Delicious!

Great Pap and I got in some excellent playtime when he visited Georgia with Great Gam, Aunt MaryAnn and Cousin Kristina.

Cousin Mia and I hanging out at Aunt MaryAnn's surprise birthday party.

Dad's been working hard all summer to prepare for the IronMan 70.3 in September. We grilled up some pancakes so he could carb load for his triathlon training.

Carson and I had a blast when our families (and the Richters!) grilled out one lovely August evening.

Carson and I, "owling."

"Who" is the cutest kid around?

Bouncing on balls in the backyard...

and getting a million mosquito bites!

It got so hot this summer, I really couldn't go outside to play much. Mom and I got creative and played "dress up." Miss Ballerina joined in the fun. Good thing she and I are the same size, so she can borrow my clothes.

Carson's 3rd birthday party was totally awesome. I found one of the scavenger hunt prizes!

The clown painted a cupcake on my cheek!

Here I am after the party, posing for some pictures.

Ladybug balloon animal bracelet AND face paint!

Oh and did I mention that Minnie and Mickey made an appearance? It was A-mazing!

Ready to head out for dinner with the Mowbray clan and visitors Aunt Molly, Laura and Cousin Emily!

Party at our house with the whole crew.

Cousin Emily was so much fun. She played with us kiddos all evening long.

Sporting Dad's headgear. He sure wears a lot of funny stuff for this triathlon training!

The best part of the end of summer? Dad's birthday! Happy 32nd , Big Guy!
