A few weeks ago, Dad declared that we should go camping as a family. After a little "working out" of the details with Mom and me, he decided on a campfire cookout and sleepover at Nana and Papa's place instead.
My dad, the great outdoorsman, readying the campfire.
Me, the helpful assistant, giving instructions.
He did it! We are ready to roast some hot dogs!
As you can see, with Nana and Papa's house not far away, we were really "roughing" it! Mom made mac and cheese inside on the stove. She's not much for campfire cooking. Dad and Papa, however, were experts at roasting hot dogs over an open flame!
I could hardly wait for the main event. S'mores! Mom and Dad brought all the necessary provisions.
Mom and Dad, unnecessarily assisting the expert with marshmallow roasting.
The first bite...
Amazing!
This camping out thing is a pretty sweet deal!
