Happy Birthday, US of A!

In honor of our 200th post, we are giving away free smiles!
(Scroll down for pictures of adorable, smile-inducing children. You're welcome!)

Fourth of July in Atlanta was rainy and cool this year. Who would have thought it? We spent the day inside celebrating America's birthday and saved the fireworks and picnics for later in the week.
Graham says, "I love 'Merica!"
(Whilst sporting his Dayton gear and a Kroger sticker...some Ohio love!)

Caroline worked on an American flag project.

Happy Independence Day! We are so grateful to live in this amazing country of freedom and opportunity!

The Pizza Queen of Atlanta

Caroline loves pizza and helping Mom (or anyone else for that matter) cook! So we recently made our own pizzas at home.

Adding the tomatoes...
As always, she must taste all the ingredients to ensure proper quality.

Ready to go in the oven. The pizzas turned out perfectly!

Sitting Up

Graham can now officially sit up without assistance!

Check out my skills, Mom!

Yes, I am awesome!

Carnival

Dad  "sprung" Caroline from school in the middle of the day recently to attend a carnival at his office.
She absolutely loved it!

They enjoyed a gourmet lunch (a.k.a. hot dogs)...
And a Tigger bounce house!

And what carnival would be complete without face paint! WWE meets butterfly princess.

Sweet, Sweet, Sweet Potatoes

Graham is expanding his palate to include root veggies.

First sweet potatoes. Delish!

Graham's Big Day

Graham was baptized at our church a few weeks ago.

He looked very handsome in Pa's baptism outfit.
Graham got big laughs from the congregation by squawking at the minister.
Now an official member of the church!
Graham gave a little pouty face and whine to show his opinion about the cold water, but otherwise was a trooper.
Our family!

5 Months Old!

Graham is 5 months old!

He is a very curious little guy. (He gets the nosy genes honest, but we won't name any names!)

He is mastering the tripod sit.

And absolutely must put everything in his mouth. This poor little bug is one of his favorite chew toys.

Daddy's Day

Dad's pretty lucky to have two great kiddos. We all enjoyed celebrating Father's Day with him.

Caroline woke up Dad to present him with a special plane she made.

Dad's favorite crew.

Caroline and Graham, already roughhousing. Dad is very proud.

Dad's cuties.

Happy Father's Day to Pa and Papa too!

Dad reading Rumpelstiltskin for the umpteenth time.

We are very lucky to have such a great Daddy in our lives.

Grammy Time

Now that Grammy is officially retired, she can spend a bit more time in Atlanta with us! We were lucky enough to have her visit for "17 days!" Grammy and Graham spent many a day together playing and cuddling.

Snuggle time!

Grammy, the entertainer!

Grammy took a lot of wonderful pictures of Graham...hanging out on our new screened porch...

practicing tummy time...

headed to Food Truck Thursday...

And just generally being cute!

Gymnastics is Fantastic!

Caroline took a break from ballet class this summer and decided to try out gymnastics and swimming lessons.

Striking her best Gabby Douglas pose.

Ready for class!

After a day of tumbling and swimming, a girl needs to recharge with dinner out!

The Giving Tree

Daddy's been working hard to get our yard in shape this year. He has been planting and trimming with gusto. Recently, Caroline's favorite "sitting tree" caught his eye. Can you guess what happened next?

Our little tree hugger convinced Daddy to spare her tree.

The dogwood lives for another day, just a few branches barer!

The First Cereal Tasting

At Graham's fourth month doctor appointment, he got the green light to start on solid foods.

Graham's first meal in the high chair. Does he look nervous?

The first bite.
Graham say, "Dad, I prefer to look at these toys, but I will humor you."

"Mom, let me assist with my own fingers. Surely, it won't make a big mess."

Glam Girl

Caroline enjoyed a fantastic Memorial Day back in Atlanta.

Testing out sponge rollers, on loan from Grammy.

And an ice cream excursion with Nana and Papa.

4 Months Old!

Graham turned 4 months old during our visit to Grammy's house.

He enjoys rolling from side to side and grabbing his newly-discovered toes!
